The images in the album spread shown above were taken in the wonderful Padley Gorge in the Peak District, Derbyshire. Padley Gorge is very close to the Fox House Pub and the toad’s mouth, a rock formation between Sheffield and Hathersage and is a truly wonderful location not so far out from the city.
We took the opportunity to divert here following the couples wedding ceremony at the J G Graves Discovery Centre in Ecclesall Woods and on the way to their wedding reception at the magnificent Woodthorpe Hall in Holmesfield, Derbyshire. Padley Gorge is a favourite location for our happy couple and they specifically wanted to spend some time here for some photographs before continuing with their celebrations at Woodthorpe Hall.
We absolutely love photographing in the Derbyshire Peak District and having a wonderful couple to photograph as seen here in the stunning Padley Gorge makes photography even more rewarding. We have photographed a number of couples here on engagement photography sessions and it always seems a very popular location, especially on a beautiful, sunny afternoon.
We always like to have some time together with our couples, away from the rest of the wedding guests so we can take some photographs of the couple together for the first time as a married couple. It allows them some time to relax during a natural break in the day’s proceedings and give us the chance to photograph them at their most relaxed.
After our photography in the peaks was completed, we travelled to the location of the wedding reception, Woodthorpe Hall in Holmesfield, Derbyshire. Pictures of the wedding reception can be viewed in the following pages of the wedding album.
