This page of the wedding album shows firstly our couple standing in the middle of the wedding breakfast room with the room ready to receive them and their wedding guests. This room is used for weddings which take place in this part of the hotel complex, this building is known as “the house” and is a beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony and reception. The room is beautiful with views out across the grounds of Kenwood Hall and also serves as the evening reception room for the first dance and disco later in the day.
In the second image, one of the only staged photographs we take. If time allows, we do a “dummy cake cutting” photograph for the couple ahead of the actual cake cutting later. The reason we take a photograph of the couple pretending to cut the wedding cake is during the actual cake cutting, it is difficult to control the situation and get a good photograph for the couple. The lighting can be less than ideal, and we often find ourselves jostling with wedding guests to get the perfect photograph for the couple. After all, this is the couples wedding day and we are paid to get the best pictures we can for them, fighting for position with dozens of would be paparazzi and getting a poor picture would not be what we have been paid to do!
