Grabbed this shot of a "wedding day this way" sign hanging from a door handle at the brides home at the start of this Chesterfield wedding day. It is important to record the little items like this, that the bride and groom have chosen to be part of their special day, that frequently get forgotten about in the weeks, months and years that follow a wedding. We try to capture all these special little details as well as the larger parts of the day, they have all been chosen with thought and intent, or been bought by a relative or friend, or are sometimes an item of immense sentimental value belonging to a departed relative or friend and are brought along to the wedding to remind the bride or groom of someone who cannot be there.
This wedding took place at St Bartholomew's Church in Old Whittington, Chesterfield and was followed by a wedding reception at the magnificent Ringwood Hall Hotel. St Bartholomew's a a wonderful church tucked away in the village and is the typical country village church, so beautifully quaint, a lovely venue. Ringwood Hall is one of the nicest and most stunning venues in the region with several wonderful rooms and a marquee in the grounds for those interested in a more out-doorsy type wedding, we love it!
