The red kite is a stunning bird of prey and a magnificent creature to see sawing over the hills of any part of the UK. This one was photographed at Bellymack Hill Farm Laurieston near Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway in the autumn of 2019 on our annual trip to admire the scenery and wildlife.
The red kite feeding station at Bellymack Farm is a marvellous place to see these magnificent birds as they feed them at 2pm 365 days of the year which allows some very close-up views and some wonderful photo opportunities for the visitors to the site.
