This photograph shows our happy couple taken sharing a quiet and tender moment just following their wedding ceremony at the Hotel Van Dyk near Chesterfield in Derbyshire. The couple were only married for a few minutes and after spending some time being congratulated by their guests, took some time to spend a few quiet moments together that also allowed us to take some portraits for them shortly before they were announced into the reception room to be greeted by their guests for their wedding breakfast.
The Hotel Van Dyk is a 4-star luxury hotel close to the historic Derbyshire town of Chesterfield. This hotel was the location of the second wedding we ever photographed way back in 2007 and we hadn’t been back until 2022, and oddly enough we were here not once but twice during the year! We hope it isn't too long until we return there again! It was a massive pleasure to return to the Hotel Van Dyk in 2022 after a fourteen year gap. During those intervening years, the hotel has undergone massive change, expansion and upgrading and is now so different but just as nice.
