This was a fun wedding at the Kenwood Hall Hotel in Sheffield. We had no idea that the groom was in the army until we arrived at the hotel to start photographing to find all the groomsmen milling around in military dress uniform. As can be seen here, the wedding cake was cut using a sword rather than the usual cake knife, an experience the bride seemed somewhat surprised by, as were we! All went off without a hitch though and the guests got their cake without incident.
We make no secret of the fact that we love working at Kenwood Hall Hotel. The venue has some of the most amazing and expansive grounds of any wedding venue we have been to. The grounds are not only large but also very well kept and with lots of character, there are larger venues but frequently the grounds are not much more than a large, featureless field with nothing much to incorporate into wedding photographs than the vastness of the place, this is not the case here at Kenwood Hall. There are lots of fantastic features and little tucked-away corners where the bride and groom can enjoy a quiet moment together while we create some images of the two of you together - wonderful...
