This is one of my favourite images from this wedding. The groom often gets forgotten or at least takes up second place to the bride and often gets somewhat overlooked. The groom pictured here is sitting patiently waiting, expectantly at the front of the church with his best man, his bride isn't too far away. It is hard to know if the butterflies are clearly flapping around in his stomach but he certainly appears as cool as a cucumber as he waits. No need to worry, she will be with you very, very soon.
This image was taken at the beautiful St. Mary's church in the tiny North Yorkshire village of Lastingham. Weddings at this church have become a bit of a rarity in recent years, this was in fact the first wedding they had hosted in over twenty years! This is a pity as this is a wonderful church with a welcoming atmosphere and all who attended had a lovely time. There are so many wonderful village churches crying out to be utilised more often for the happy union of marriage, hopefully we as well as the church can promote the use of them on a more frequent basis as we really love them!
