This photograph was taken during a catholic wedding ceremony and mass in Saint Marie's Catholic Cathedral in Sheffield. This is a beautiful building with a stunning interior which features some magnificent stained-glass windows which make a fantastic background to our wedding photography images. Photographing in some of the magnificent churches in Sheffield is a real treat for us. Having the chance to work in buildings like this which provided such a wonderful backdrop to our wedding photography images is a real perk of the job. We have photographed weddings in many of the churches in and around Sheffield and all of them have their plus points. We have photographed in other churches with amazing interior, the most notable probably being Holy Trinity Church at Wentworth which has an almost cathedral like interior. While some of these large and grand buildings make a massive statement, some of the smaller churches have some beautiful interiors and wonderful features which make them just as good for other reasons.
Saint Marie's is on Norfolk Street in the centre of Sheffield only a stones' throw from Sheffield Town Hall. Being in such a central location can be a massive advantage as it has easy access to the hotels in the city centre which is ideal for wedding guests from out of town. This is also a beautiful venue with a truly astounding interior. We really do love the chance to create beautiful pictures for our couples especially in buildings like this!
