An exciting part of any wedding day and one we always find guest really love is Confetti throwing. This is one of the fun parts of the wedding day for the wedding guests, frequently much more fun for them than the happy couple! This is the time for the assembled guests to actively participate in the days’ events rather than just spectate. For us reviewing images after the wedding, it is frequently amusing to see some of the expressions on the faces of the newly married couples as their guests throw small pieces of paper or rose petals in their general direction, one might almost think they were expecting house bricks! Some of our best confetti throwing photographs are captured when couples choose colourful rose petals as their confetti of choice. This gives bright colours and drifts slowly down making the experience last longer and additionally has the added advantage of being biodegradable. It is always worth asking your venue if they allow confetti throwing, some don't and it is better to know ahead of your big day to avoid disappointment later on.
Our lovely Bride and Groom can just about be seen through a blizzard of confetti thrown by their excited guests following their Whirlow Brook Hall wedding. This was our first wedding back after lockdown in June 2021, and was, because of the limitations in place at the time limited to thirty people. Despite the relatively diminished wedding party, the guests managed to put on a wonderful confetti shower display of rose petals in front of the magnificent Whirlow Brook Hall.
