This fantastic wedding ceremony took place at the J G Graves Woodland Discovery Centre in Ecclesall Woods, Sheffield. Immediately following the wedding ceremony, we walked through the beautiful Ecclesall Woods with our bride and groom to take some fun photographs of them amongst this beautiful and historic woodland.
As the guests made their way from Ecclesall Woods to the wedding reception at the magnificent Woodthorpe Hall just over the Derbyshire border, we took the bride and groom to the viewing point above the Surprise View, a fantastic location for photographs overlooking the Hope Valley and the village of Hathersage. On the way back from to the reception at Woodthorpe Hall, we stopped off again for a few more pictures to be taken in Padley Gorge, again in Derbyshire and not far from the Surprise View and Fox House. We grabbed some more fun pictures of the bride and groom at the newly constructed bridge over the river and on the steppingstones, and none of us managed to fall in; always a bonus!
We left Padley Gorge and made our way back to join the wedding guests for the wedding reception at Woodthorpe Hall, Holmesfield, Derbyshire. Formal family portraits were taken here with the magnificent hall as a backdrop. There was a wedding breakfast in the marque, a hog roast during the evening reception and dancing with the ceilidh band and caller, "Roger the Badger" supplying the music into the night.
What a fantastic day for everyone, such a lovely wedding from start to finish with a fantastic and fun group of people.
